Decided to go and have a nosey at a local lane today. Have known about it for many years although it was to narrow for a 4x4. In last weeks paper there was a letter from a local (lives next to the end of the lane funnily enough) complaining how it has recently upgraded to a BOAT and correctly widened for a vehicle to travel down. since this has happened it has "Been torn up and turned into a mud bath by all the 4x4's that now use it.

Plenty of bike tracks (and a quad) not one set of 4x4 tracks to be found !!

Although nice of this bloke to block the end of the lane with his Fester :rolleyes:

Yup thats a BYWAY sign above the car. :doh:
 
Winch it out of the way definitely. Snow in the ground only helps.

Lane was blocked a few weeks back by a broken down Jazz stupidly parked in the end (it has snapped a rear spring by the looks of it) so it didn't take long to snatch block off a post behind it, casually (and carefully) adjust its parked position and then tow it over to a lay by a little further down. A public service was carried out IMO.

If the owner was there then I would have asked him to move.

The reality was that someone had broken down and though ill just leave this car in the end of this lane.

So we carefully moved it out if the way.

I think that's fair :)
