Doing a long overdue points renewal on the series 3 this weekend I was unable to achieve a gap. With the arm on the cam point (open) there was no gap avaliable with the adjustment so I had to file the bracket out and even then struggled to get the correct gap. Am I being a dunce or is it case of another piece of rubbish in a blue box.

points lately have been shocking how bad they can be made ,,,, digital / electronic is the way to go ive gotw a kit waiting to pop into myn when i get the chance ...

thier all made in china you cant get consistent parts nowadays but for .75p you can pick the best out of a couple of parts,do you mean britpart by blue box ,every lr parts company either use bearmach ,britpart or allmakes for parts and they get them from the same places.you try buying a set from a landrover dealer from a lucas english factory ,you can buy a new dizzy for £30
