Quick question regarding the dovetail locator/support on the rear door. This looks like there is too large a gap and it should be tighter fitting than this. I assume there should be a spacer that I am missing? Should it go behind the brass block on the door or the dovetail bracket on the tub? I also assume I can just measure the gap and cut a suitable thickness piece of metal to act as a spacer?

Seem to remember on mine there were a load of shims between tub frame and the bracket. No longer have my 90 so can't check for you

My Ninety has a bunch of them, just alloy plates with slots in them so you can slip in without removing the bolts, just slacken.

Spacer fitted and gap reduced but still possible too large a gap. How snug should the brass be into the bracket?

It looks like the top bend has been opened up- it should curl over more.

Looks like you may be able to get two of those bits of plate in rather than just one.
I did something similar with my front door strikers, to space them away from the B post so they'd engage with the door catches. Well worth doing as it turned out.
