Has anyone installed this tracker and the app to control it on their phone? LINKY TO TRACKER
I've installed it on my Landy and downloaded the app from the google playstore on to my android phone. All worked well. Setting the Geo Fence of an evening and switching it off in the morning. The Mrs uses the Landy for her daily drive to work and so we downloaded the app on to her iPhone. It's all gone belly up since then. I've used the buttons on the app to set my phone back to master, but my phone won't set the Geo Fence, Movement tracker features. I do get a response from the Get Location button, with an accurate set of co-ordinates.
I emailed the developer, via the website, to ask about setting the wife's phone as another admin phone and he replied very quickly. Great! We seem to be stuck now with switching between the two phones. I've emailed him back, but he hasn't replied yet. Early days as that was only on Tuesday.

Does anyone have experience of using the app on either android or iphone?

Can't help you but I've been looking at wireless trackers so would be interested in your review of the tracker if/when you get it working. What model did you get?

I bought this one. LINKY
At the moment I think the tracker itself is good. Gives a very accurate location. Reacted immediately when I tested the Geo Fence function. It's just gone a bit Pete Tong since I put the app on the Mrs phone and sent a message to the tracker to say that it was also an admin phone. I think its the phone apps I'm having a problem with. So, at the moment, I'm not sure if it's a glitchy app or user error!

Oh I see. I've got the same tracker actually. I thought you meant one of the back2you trackers, which are a specific company.

What app are you using? I couldn't find an app that would work or is this a back2you app that runs any tracker?

Hmmm........... I might have been slightly fooled here!
When the tracker arrived there it came with a small instruction booklet and an A4 quick start guide. The A4 guide has a coloured picture of the tracker and coloured pictures of the Back2You logo and phone app logo, so maybe they are just using the Back2 You app!

Having said that, it's just occurred to me that I wrote to the company via the Back2You website and they replied.

I'm off to investigate!

Have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling it after switching the phone off for ten minutes. The ten minute shutdown apparently ensure everything from the app is wiped from the phones memory.

Did you buy it from Amazon? How much was it? The back2u one is £120 but that's a ripoff as it's clearly just the cheap Chinese one you can get off amazin

If you got the cheap one off Amazon and got it to run the back2u app then you're definitely winning.

Yep, got the cheap one off Amazon. :(

It's odd because this is the Back2You web site LINKY and if you scroll down to the bottom of the page it has the company address

This is the Amazon page about the seller who sold me the tracker. LINKY On the top right of this page is their address and it is the same. On Amazon the company is called Back2Youtracking

The tracker I've got does not look like any of the ones on the first web site.

there is one on the website which looks identical to the one we brought off Amazon but they selling it for £125. Not that I think the price matters

Is there! I must have been having a man look. I'll go back and have another gander.

I wonder if Back2You are selling a cheap import too. I can't understand how the business address is the same.

I intended to finish wiring mine up today but its raining cats and dogs and some connectors I ordered havint turned up so its on hold for another week

Yeah, found it John. Cheers.
I think I might write to the seller and or Amazon and see if someone is prepared to shed some light.
For £30 I'm not that bothered if I have been conned. Slightly peeved :)

Interesting because the back2you website do sell one like the amazon one - http://www.back2you.com/wired-gps-vehicle-boat-tracker.html - except its £125. Clearly the same unit with the price hiked up.

Not quite sure whats going on but to be honest as long as it works with the app then jobs a goodun.

How did you link the tracker to the app. I've got the same tracker so I'm going to down load the app and see if I can get it to work :)

Once you've downloaded the app you just put the tracker SIM card number in to the app. Are you on android or iphone?

The iphone app doesn't seem to be as easy to use as the android one. Not yet anyway! I'm still trying to get used to them. If you are just using the one phone then hopefully you'll be ok with it. Let me know how you get on.

I'm about an hour and a half further south than you. It's just stopped raining! I think the weather front is moving North East, so it might stop at yours soon. :)
