P38A Back to Air.?

This is the first P38 I’ve ever owned / driven and it’s got springs on. Therefor I don’t know what it’s like on air.

can I have some opinions .? On who thinks what.

Its a different animal on air. The one I bought was on springs and I changed it back to air cost was about £500 and 2 days work (new bags, Repai compressor and valve block and 4 Chinese sensors) its been fine for 2 years now. Worth the effort

I don’t suppose anyone can tell me what I’m looking for and there locations .? I’m hoping they haven’t ripped it all out

Look in the engine bay. Do you have a big black box on your right? What’s in it? Does it have pipes coming out of it?

then look around the suspension to body, each corner needs something like this

There should also be a long looking relay under the passenger seat (lhd so may be drivers on rhd).

Does it still bleep at you and flash lights for the air suspension?

IMO, the EAS is the best feature of the P38. I did a full overhaul on my first one about 12/13 years ago which included replacing the front height sensors and a new dryer which I replace fairly often.
Since then I have experienced very little trouble.
In addition to the other suggestions, check the EAS ECU is there under the left hand front seat.

That’s the box and what’s in it. There are pipes coming out of it and the dash flashes up eas manual. But it currently won’t start after I’ve changed the battery but that’s another issue lol

At least that expensive blue pipe is intact.

what’s on the outside of the box? I.E pipes.

So I’ll need to get under it. And see what else is there but at the min we’re missing the pump.

Its looking encouraging so far

so if the ecu is still there and the height sensors and pipes you will only need bags and pump and a rebuild kit for the valve block
and speak to Datatek about a cable and software to talk to the system unless you have a Nanocom allready.

Fingers crossed. When you say it like that it seems a straight forward job. (I’m certain it won’t be on the driveway lol)
