Thanks to Yella for sound advice.
I got the Freelander tank and pipes drained of 50 lts of petrol.
flushed as much of the system we could. Fitted new filter and refilled with diesel plus Common Rail seal additive.
its now running. cost £75.00 plus the loss of £70 quids worth of petrol.

I won't do that again.

the aa now do roadside petrol / diesal removel. don't know how much tho.
i think it depends on weather the car has been started or not.
i saw a pump thing in the new seally catalog £150.00......
you could make a killing with one of them..charge £70 to take it out and keep the fuel... bonus...
glad your backon the road :)
easy mistake to do

Mick
