Back doors locking but not unlocking

The back doors on my 52 plate Vogue will lock but not unlock. I am assuming the grease from the factory has dried out and needs stripping down and cleaning. Has anyone had dealings with this? Also the drivers door has just started playing up with the same symptoms.

The fact they are all starting to play up would suggest the problem is not the actual door actuators

Have you checked the rear spare wheel area and amplifier area isn't damp from water Ingres ?

Aha! I did empty the spare wheel well out. I dried it as best as I could but it probably was damp. Where does the water come in? Has it damaged a body control module or something?

You need to stop the water Comming in as it will, if it hasn't already cause havoc with the electronics or damage ECU's !

Traced that my water was getting through the tailgate rubber seal as it was old and shrunk
New seal fixed the problem

Water is also known to enter through the back side window, upper body frame and bumper mounting studs

Sit in the car whilst someone sprays the car with a hose pipe, then wait for the water to appear

Will drying it out fix the central locking locking fault?

Who knows

But next time it rains... Same issue
