The bubbles on my cargo door are doing my nut in now (oxidisation). I know it's lazy, but can anyone give me the part number for a back door that takes a tyre-mount on the outside? I've been quoted 170 + VAT but I want to shop around. I can't have a galvanised one because it'd be a PUMA or Sahara door, meaning I couldn't retain my current door handle, glass, etc. so I'll buy a bog-standard one and deal with more bubbles in 10 years time. I'd have a bog standard one dipped but apparently there's aluminium on 'em and aluminium can't be dipped??

You’ll need to know your serial number for the proper part number, although I’m not sure what the difference would be. Frame can be galvanised as it’s steel, but the door skin can’t as it’s aluminium. I’m sure there are suitable galvanised doors for yours, I’d expect to pay at least £170 for one.

I think YRM do doors for that, they are all galv steel, skins as well as frames, and you will have to paint them.
They aren't silly money compared to most other Defender door options either.
Google them, and give them a call. The ones my mate got for his 200Tdi Defender were good.

Have a look at DLS Land Rover parts, they do the one you want.
Then good coat of synthetic enamel paint and coat the frame with Dintrol cavity wax before fitting door card. Repeat treatment of lower door rail every couple of years.

I'll phone these tomorrow too. Cheers.

I cannot personally recommend SP4x4 (now SP panels?). I purchased a rear door and that had to go back. I see Bearmach are now selling their products, so maybe the quality has improved? I ended up rebuilding mine myself with new skins. It's not difficult, but I understand that most people would look for a bolt on replacement.

There was a guy on here who manufactured back doors. He was from NI. I cant think of his name but he commented on a thread i was on . If you want i will look back through them and try and find his name.
If you could please, that'd be great but don't spend ages trawling. If I get the best door and price I can after a period of research, that's good enough :0)
