Hi all I have freelander 1 & have black & blue smoke coming out & runs lumpy but not all the time have replaced filters etc & disconnected maf sensor but when plugged in comes up fuel fail sensor could this be the problem with smoke? Ta

I assumed you mean fuel rail sensor? The rail sensor is a known M47 problem. They suffer from corrosion of the contacts and failure of the wiring harness to it. There's an overlay harness available to cure the harness issue, and an improved sensor to eliminate the problem.

Check the rail sensor for corrosion of its contacts and the harness plug for similar corrosion. ;)
