Haven't lifted it as I'm not too confident it's the best thing to do. Some have had trouble. Some haven't. If it int broke'd......Is your freeby lifted? I can see all terrain tyres but it doesn't look like much else has been done to it.
Will do a kers write up soon.kers my arse!
Go for it. Sump guard is a must in my opinion. Road tyres in me last pic were near as good as the AT2. New type Grabbers are self cleaning. They just curve the inner tread gaps so stuff falls out. Mine are ok. Pick up every stone on the road though. All tyres fill with mud orf road. Faster you go the quicker they clear. Most the time the mud stays in them wiv the tread available for surface grip. Then it's squashed out or compacted when more mud builds up. The mud fights itself and most the time things are ok. Grip available. I like what I hear about the new Grabbers. If ma Freelander lasts that long then I'll get a set of them if they're the right size.Cheers, would love to use my freeby again off road but I'll need to get all terrains and a better sump guard first.
Do you get many issues with the tyres clogging up with mud etc or are they pretty good at self cleaning, the new at2 is supposed to be self cleaning but I don't think it's available in a freeby 1 size.
Will do a kers write up soon.
Hi Hippo...
I watched the video. It's interesting that so many of the so called "superior" vehicles seemed to struggle somewhat yet you were able to run through it with what appeared to be relative ease in a Freelander (V6, auto if I'm not mistaken) ;-)
Andy.
Good to see the freeby can cope with those pesky cross axel holes, those 2 marshalls must have got a workout from all the tratters needing a gentle push.
