Trying to work out what the axle code is for my 1991 200tdi defender 90. Helpfully and not unexpectedly the number has corroded off.

https://www.lrworkshop.com/axles-differentials/axlecodes

That website is sort of helpful but i'm trying to work out is my axle is To (A)22S 082836 or From (A)22S 08284B as this is a common change point for the part numbers....

Any ideas before i set the whole thing on fire?

The problem with any older Landy is a mix of parts may have been fitted over the years, as well as being one from a change over year [ mine is one of the last TD's made.] If you think it is pretty original then go with the vehicle VIN number.
What parts are you after ?
