Hi all,

Just been to Micheldever tyre co (near Winchester) to sort my tracking out, absolute top chap who owns a 90 sorted mylandy out.

However, although he sorted the camber and toe out he couldn't sort the caster. The final reading were:

Left -1.11 degrees
Right -0.43 degrees

The chap says that that they should measure 2.5 - 4.0

1. Can anyone confirm what the angle should be for a 1988 110 CSW.

2. As everything seems straight enough is it possible that the wrong radius arms are fitted and that they should be a touch longer?

There are no after market bits added (that I know of, however, I'm prepared to be proved wrong).

All thoughts :welcome2:

Have the springs either sagged with time or have you got slightly higher springs than standard ? Either would cause caster to be out.

how did he sort camber, theres no adjusment as it is derived thru swivel pins as is caster ,radius arms are all the same size, no landrover is 100 % ive measured lots of new cases and they all varied slighly but not enough to effect vehicle

Not sure James; it was all done using lazers and a computer.

Still drifts to the left slightly.

Hopefully get the chance to pick a few brains this weekend at Gaydon.

he was talking bollox then about camber ,toe in/out he probably did, straight on def as equal 4wd ,all cars pull to left but thats camber in road ,or is it severe

Nah not that significant and certainly not enough to make it pull as wildly as you describe. The main noticable effect of castor being way out is excessively or quickly worn UJ's, it shouldn't drive any differently.
