Auxilary lamps

I want to fit a pair of Cibie Super Oscars to my disco 1 300 tdi but I dont want a bull/A bar, they will not fit on the bumper, assuming it was strong enough and there doesn't seem to be any suitable fixing points from which to secure home made brackets. Can anyone offer a solution please

buy some 6mm x 30mm flat bar cut em approx 150mm long and drill an hole in each end. place each bar on top of the bumper and drill thru the bumper. Then use a nut and bolt to attach said bar to aforementioned bumper. Repeat for second bar. and then attach lamps to remaining holes. One to each bar.

N:B be sure to drill bumper holes, equidistance from centre of vehicle, whilst ensuring that they do not obscure exsisting headlamps.

Simples!!!

What can I say, I already have them and I am an '80's kind of guy, I had planned to put them on the Mk 1 Escort RS2000 I can't afford to buy !
