when i brought mine i was kind of surprised how little they come with, i brought a chassis loom, engine loom, main loom. there are numerous smaller looms that you will need to remove from your old loom like the rear wash wipe (i think it was that) along with one that goes to the difflock switch and towbar, heater possibly and rear door wiring. they dont include lights or fuses though they gave me a choice of fuseboxes either blade type of glass type. the engine loom is simply a very small wiring loom with a few connectors

Oh right that's not right good I kinda thought it would come with the lights and everything :/ so sounds abit poo really doesn't it

yeah if it really is as bad as you say then you don't have many options but you you could do as you have been advised in the other thread and spend a couple of hours with a sodering iron and some heat shrink and have a crack at repairing yours, just bear in mind that to fit auto sparks looms throughout your talking the wrong side of £500

I have bought from Autosparks in the past and I don't think they mislead you in any way, they clearly state what you are buying and to be perfectly honest why would fueses & lights be part of the loom? Like the sub looms, depending on what vehicle you have some parts of the loom may not be required so they is why they are all sold separately (my 90 for instance does not have rear wash-wipe, heated rear window etc).

Either buy new from a LR dealer or Autosparks.
As already stated, making a loom is not a cheap operation (I know, I have done it in a previous life) and taking shortcuts to save money (using cheap / poor quality cable, incorrect cable size, cheap connectors etc) will just give you problems in the future.
If your loom is shot then the only real option is to replace it, you are saving money in the long run as it will be far more reliable than any half hearted repair.

well i just want a rough qoute on having the full lot for a v8 engine on carbs lights front and rear, well just about everything

that may have come across wrong, I'm not complaing about auto sparks the service i received from them was great and the quality spot on, I'm just telling him that it doesn't come with fuses so certainly doesn't include lights

I was going to fit it myself ya see but is a lot of time

no what i meant was have you priced up from auto sparks, mine was over £500 for all the looms.
