I have a 2001 td5 auto, when i use kick down the vehicle reluctant to change and the engine seems to hunt as though it can't make up it's mind, has anybody experienced this and know the solution?

Just a thought ,,, when it changes down a gear is it over boosting the turbo ,,,, as the computer will cut the fuel for a second then boost drops then over boost again ,, and the merry go round starts over and over ,,,My TD5 D2 auto did this when i fist purchased it ,,,,
