Depends what sort of auto box it is. If it's something that was used elsewhere in the Land Rover range you could be OK, but it's hard to tell from the advert. Go and have a look.

not in bad nick for the year either(pending chassis and bulkhead ok) never driven a auto though or heard of one in a 110 so thats me out

Well, people sometimes put Discovery or Range Rover kit in as an aftermarket conversion. I'm sure James Martin has had something to say somewhere about which bellhousings and flywheels to use. However, I've not come across one of that vintage with an auto box fitted from new.

Well it says '19J31158C' in the advert, so it sounds like it'll be a 19J engine. Yes, I should imagine that the transfer box and PTO will be pretty standard, just the primary gearbox that's unusual. Probably very similar to what was being put on Range Rovers and Discoverys round about that time.

i never seen a factory done one though its possible through lrs special vehicle build ,id imagine it would have disco/rrc classic zf 4 speed as was fitted to them ,but it would mean engine would be fitted further forward than usual

it is a td and engine is sat right back ,so would be easy enough to fit tdi auto but theres not enough room for std lr zf 4 speed in there
