I need a pair of these...

No one seems to have any in stock. The union between the rubber and metal pipes is leaking bad... can I take apart and put back together with jubilee clip?

Any ideas guys?

Gotta be worth a try. I wouldn't bother taking one apart, I'd open a jubilee clip up fully to put it round and just tighten it on, see if it works! ;)

I've done exactly what you're suggesting, I cut off the union with a hack saw and pushed the rubber pipe a bit further on and secured it with a jubilee clip.

It's been fine for the last 6 months but I'm still planning a proper repair at some point.

UPDATE: cleaned up the pipes this morning... no obvious leaks from the unions... start engine and put into gear to get the fluid moving through the pipes.

the leak is coming from the metal pipe where it's held on a retaining clip. instead of being the original clamp, it's ziptied to the bracket... years of vibration has caused the bracket to cut into the metal pipe!

so 1/2 inch wide strip of rubber glove wrapped tightly round pipe and secured with jubilee clip seem to have done the trick.

took 3 litres of fluid (actually overfilled and had to undo drain plug to remove about a litre) to get to upper level and all's good (for now)!
