L322 Auto Trans failure program

Is there any help nearby for my L322, 4.4 V8? Could need an auto reconditioned box soon. Edinburgh area.

Is that a common reason for the warning message to appear?

Pass, I'm still on range rover classic tech but the zf box does have a filter. Apart from a warning light, are there any symptoms?

First thing to do would be to run a diagnostic and read the code. Could be an internal gearbox fault or an external issue caused by something else such as the transfer box. Without getting the code you're totally in the dark.

Best tool for the job is the iiD Tool from Gap Diagnostics but you are looking at £300 ish upwards depending on if you go for the Bluetooth option or not.

iCarsoft have a unit around the £100 mark (think it's called the i930) which should be able to pull the codes.

Either are very useful for doing all sorts of diagnostics on the vehicle.

There are quite a few specialists in Edinburgh and surrounding areas that can help. Not too sure on places in West Lothian though.
