Auto Gearbox Oil Cooler

Can anyone help me with the replacement of the auto gearbox oil cooler on my 1986 RRC. Believe it or not it has rusted through from the outside in!!! I am finding it difficult to find a serviceable used replacement. Is it possible to fit an aftermarket one and if so how big does it need to be.

I am in the Hetfordshire/ Bedfordshire borders if you have one to sell.

This is for 3.9 NTC6166. NTC1867 for 3.5 is no longer available. Maybe you can do a make do and mend with it if yours is a 3.5. Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models. UK and worldwide mail order.

My mate used a generic thing bought from some rally car supply place with a couple of extra pipe bits. Works just the thing.

Do we really need it?

Get a used one off a P38 diesel.

A bit of pipework jiggling needed to do that. The 3.5 and 3.9 coolers look to be almost identical. Other than maybe different pipe end unions.
