On my (almost brand new) TDi300 it was the transfer box. There was a bit of warning though.drivin down m'way today and lost transmission, i know little about auto boxes so any help to diagnose whats needs fixing would be v.much appeciated
Its a 97 3.9 auto disco 1
no movement in any gear at all, i had it pressure tested and there was no pressure, oil was drained from the sump and that was in a poor state after being changed a few ago.
