Auto gearbox dashboard mode lights

Hello, I have a 2003 auto and the dashboard display lights for manual and sport mode have never worked. Does it simply need plugging into the Land Rover computer to "switch on"? Thanks for any help on this.

Do they light up when you turn the ignition on?

The lights do not come on as part of startup bulb check

In that case I would suspect that someone has removed or disabled the bulbs.

To verify you'll need to take the clocks out.
