Auto freelander gearbox fault

Hi all.

Picked up my 2001 TD4 Auto freelander tonight. Me and misses took it out for a drive. Driving along and car felt like it dropped out of gear. Engine revved up but was no power. Few seconds later what i believe to be the hill decent light popped up on the dash with a exclamation mark next to it. I knocked it into sport and selected different gears made no difference.

Stopped car and turned it off. Restarted and light was out but did it again few seconds later.

Any thoughts gang?

You need to post in the main Freelander section. Also check the barrel connectors which carry the electrical signals to and from the auto a locked together proper. you'll find them above the auto. Look behind/down behind the head light at the auto.
