Auto box problems....

Hi can anyone help please. My Td5 auto disco has been sitting up for around three weeks. I went out this morning to take it a run. When I started it the green cog lights started flashing on the dash. From park to neutral is fine on the dash display. When I select Drive. 1,2 or 3 it displays D on the dash and starts flashing. Anyone know what the problem is and how to cure it?

try it again ,sometimes drop in voltage during starting puts them on

Thanks James, I completely disconnected the battery and left it all off for a few minutes. I was hoping it would all "reset". But on start up after I reconnected it, it just stayed the same.

try charging battery ,it could be faulty xyz switch ,but oftens as not its had an incorrect signal

Give a good charge to the battery...if it stayed for a while it might be a bit slack... the EAT ECU and the ECM are very sensitive when it comes about electric power
