Yep, all fine. Only one person in each car and both injury free.

I'd followed him at a safe speed and distance (video to prove) for several miles. National speed limited became 40 became 30. He stopped to turn right. I braked but I couldn't get grip. I reckon I was a metre short of missing him. Brakes powerful and upgraded, tyres good, ABS good, 2+ tonnes, downhill on a greasy surface. Bugger.

Chatting to the guy, he said he'd had a speed awareness course and they'd shown a video of how bad the surface of this road was.

He wasn't bothered as it was a company car and he said he could have the rest of the day off.

that's a sod - they know there is a problem with the road, and do naff all about it.

Glad everyone is ok, and especially the new paint job!

I had a similar very minor bump. Entirely my fault as I was distracted by the car beside me pouring out smoke and didn't see the traffic in front stopping.:oops: Zero damage to my car and a scratch on her bumper so slight her repair centre just resprayed it without replacing anything. Lady was really nice and very understanding but next thing I was getting a phone call from the police.
Whiplash damages to her and her child were around £7k.

On the plus side, it's all on dash cam.

Did you/your insurers payout?

I was in a company car so the insurers paid out but not what she was looking. She tried to claim 6 months loss of earnings as well! Seriously you'd get a bigger bump in the dodgems. Of course I've been paying for it ever since in my personal car insurance.
Funny but the parents of the other child never tried to claim, maybe they were honest?

Nice one, its always a good feeling.

I have just booked mine in for the end of the month to give a few weekends to check it over and no doubt have to get the welder out.....

Not been keeping up with your updates but had a quick read and have a question as I keep cracking my gutter mount (bolted) light bar, I have a 46" led bar mounted to it, But I think your set up looks better, have you noticed any bad points of your 12 light set up? any wind noise ? thinking of 6 or 8 light set up and do you have a link to your lights. So many on ebay.

Like a lot of LZers, I'm getting the Photobucket 3rd Party Hosting message. Looked into it and at $399 my Photobucket account won't be upgraded in a hurry. It's a shame that Photobucket have become so greedy as it means a wealth of photographic info can't be shared with other Landy lovers.

Bye all.
