MTF-94 works in a PG 1.
The clue was in the title
Don't put MTF94 in the auto box, it will scrap the box!!

Reading the OP again, he doesn't specify man or auto.
MTF94 goes in the IRD.

He did say ATF oil. I think that means auto box. Unless I'm missing something. Which isn't unusual

That's how I read it.
ATF = auto box
MTF = manual box
Or maybe I'm missing something too?

Ok, I was mislead.
I was sold some MTF94 by a good, local motor facror 17,000 miles since.
Lucky I suppose I haven't refolled the IRD yet.

It's AQF I have and have run for 17,000 miles.

Hi:You use the Dexron 3 oil, what is the gearbox fell，is it smooth？
The garage said Dexron 2 also can use，but i think is not so good，because last time they use 2D for my gearbox，and now it is bang when change gear.

They used to use atf in a manual box and that confused people.(it is a manual why atf) so they came out with MTF fluid.
