The Continentals for me, Lee.

They are quieter on the road, and will last longer.

Depends if you are going to have them as your only set of wheels.

I have 2 sets of tyres - one for long distance / summer - and another set for off-road / winter.

The constant hum or brrrrrrrr of knobblies can get pretty wearing when you're on holiday.

Also of course depends on how much cash you want to lay out - though either tyre should last a reasonable time if you don't abuse them on tarmac, with high speed cornering.

Neither of these tyres are that good on corners as they are more designed for forward traction.

Thanks for your replys they are about the same sort of price, and i do have a second set of wheels for summer :) still undecided what tyres to get not many reviews about on the Continentals

Agree with singvogel on this on lee..

Id go for the Continentals unless you do serious off roading frequently.. Ive got them fitted to my hippo.. Lovely manners on the road, nice and quiet, but also good enough for my off roading (Got horses, so we are up a muddy farm/fields twice a day and ebery other weekend)

Dont get me wrong, the general grabbers are a brill tyre, but they do hum a lot on a drive due to the nobbly nature.. Since you already have summer wheels, its up to you... but depending on the winter thats bearing down on us, you may want to put up with the noise to know that your hippo will be as prepared as it can be if the snow returns..

Good luck

Cheers for the reply ive almost chossen the Continentals, anyone have any idea on the best price around? best ive seen for 4 is £390 fitted ?

Cheers

Lee

I got a cheap set of Kingpin remoulds and put them on a spare set of wheels
if you are only going to use them in the winter they are brilliant in the snow and mud
Stick the road tyres back on in the spring.

If you want "everyday" ATs then you cant beat Marshall / Khumo KL78s Not particularly noisey and good life span. n We've yet to get stuck in either truck - run them on the Syncro for a good 20000KM
