Are heater fans interchangable

Managed to get my heater fan to come to life by shorting a few things out but instead of running it started smoking, guessing its seized so now i need a new fan. Do i have to get a specific fan for a 200tdi or are the fans out of a range rover classic (or a defender) compatable?
Can you still get new fans or as asked will a fan off another series fit?

200 heater motor/fan is the same style as a 3.5 RRC but not 3.9 RRC or the 300 disco.... Defender I don't know about.
There four part numbers for the 200 motor/fan all depends on the VIN.
