Hi

My newly aquired 1996 Discovery 300TFi ES is fitted with a radio/cassette player that is badged Land Rover. The originally fitted CD multichanger is hidden under the driver's seat, according to the PO, has not worked since a disc failed to eject. I don't know if the PO managed top get the disc out, or if its still in there.

What I want to know is, can I fit a multichanger of a different brand - I have been offered a freebie? But it is a Blauplunk. Come to that, what manufacturer made the ICE fitted to Land Rovers?

What I would really like is to yank the existing multichanger, and file it in the middle distance, and then plug the dangling cable into an MP3 player. I done a Google, and found similar questions being asked in 2001, but all the answers were beyond the understanding of this Techno-wimp. I think the answer was "Maybe .... if you are very clever!". Have things progressed since then?
