Yep, I realise that this is probably a newb question.
I recently had a case of metal-on-metal action on one of the rears and only after spending out for a new rear disc/pads thought that maybe it would have been nice to know up front that things were wearing out (and only affecting one side).
I spoke to both my local (trusted) tire/brake place and the Land Rover main dealer and neither of them gave so much as a whisper that there should have been a warning light.
Reading the manual, I see that there's a warning light that could be brake wear or the loss of EBA.
So, should the car tell me that the brakes are wearing or not?
