Applying Dinitro. 4941

I recently bought Dinitrol ML which came with a compressed air trigger and hose. This is screwed in to the top of the Dinitrol bottles. The hose tip has a nozzle which sprays a 360 degree pattern which is great for getting inside all the chassis parts - no problem.

However, Dinitrol 4941 is also in the same bottles but didn't come with any applicator gun/nozzle. I don't want to be using the 360 deg nozzle on this stuff as it's for exterior parts. Today I used my paint spray head/can set up which worked but sprayed a very fine coating and didn't use much of the product.

Is there a different nozzle available and if so where from?

Has anyone got any suggestions please?

I used this to apply ML, 4941 and the stone chip stuff. Works a treat and comes with a variety of attachments inc 360 spray etc.

Quick question - did you apply stone chip and 4941 over each other or not?

ML - in bulkhead cavaties
4941 - inside chassis box sections, exterior box section, chassis components etc. up inside arches too
445 - over the top of exterior box sections and up inside arches.

i believe each of the products can go over the next one. it says so on the website i think.

tis great stuff and so easy to apply. no thinning, no warming up.... there again i did mine in the summer.

make sure you get it properly jet washed with a steam cleaner on a lift and attack it with a scraper etc etc before you apply in the dry.

Another vote here for the Sealy guns. I know they're dear but they're lovely solid lumps of metal. The air forces thick underseal compounds out through the nozzle with no difficulty. In addition you can use them for other things. For example you can fill them with Gunk and pressure wash your engine with Gunk. My only gripe is that with the air hose plugged in they won't stand up, but otherwise good.

I've got the Sealy gun as well. If you own a LR and want to keep rust under control, you need to have one of these as well. I used to borrow a friends professional gun that cost about 600 quid, but this does as good a job.

OK, took everyone's advice and got the Sealey gun and agreed it's a good piece of kit! Yesterday I used a pneumatic paint sprayer which gave a lovely smooth finish with the 4941 but when compared with the result from the Sealey gun it was nowhere near a thick enough coating.

How many coats of 4941 or 447 stonechip is recommended on the Landy?

I went for the "when it runs out" strategy as I never order enough. I'd say 2 coats main.
