Apologies, condenser cooling fan again

Hello you lot,
bin a while, probably 8/9 months since \I last posted about overheating probs and was give the usual run through from exp tank top to head/head gasket.....thanks for all the advice back then.
Unfortunately the worse case scenario over here in south west France turned out to be a little over 3 grand and I have been slaving away to get enough to have the job done should it have been the head/gasket area.
Just got her back and it was head gasket gone between 2 and 3, (final cost about €1350) luckily no other damage but am finding the condenser cooling fan is on all the time the engine is running.
I have done numerous searches with different keywords both here, other Disco forums and the 'net but only come up with a couple of not very helpful answers. Anything that I could attempt myself or links to relevant posts would be appreciated.
Also, I think I remember reading on the forum sometime back that there is a sequencial button pressing on the heater controls to do a mini self diagnostic of the heating/cooling system?.....Can't find that either.
Regards
Riggy

Hi Riggy
If you look under the thermostat housing you will see two electrical connectors.
If you change the connectors over with each other, the fans will go off. Common mistake i believe.
Regards
Geoff

Hi Riggy,
just open bonnet, look at top front of engine, thermostat housing is the bit with the radiator hoses attached to it. look under the housing, both connectors are clearly visible, just change them over.
Regards

Hi Geoff, (and MysteryMan....yes have got all day akshully!:D)
my model is a 2000 TD5 and obviously different from yours.........my thermostat is located (from the front end leaning in) offset to the left, between the a/c rad and the cooling rad right down alongside the bottom of the engine. This also make the connectors in a different location yes?
What say you Mysteryman?
Riggy.

I could be being thick here but first pic is my top hose, the area you said my 'stat housing was/is/should be....only one connector anywhere with a single way connection....so can't swap ANYTHING around.
Second image is 'stat down below and between two radiators...impossible to access without taking off engine protectors below engine, so don't know where to look for connections in that area.
What exactly am I missing here?
Riggy.
