Hi all,

I am looking to equip my 2004 Disco 2 with steel bumpers (front and back) and transmission guards/steering guards etc. I like the look of the front bumper from Extreme 4x4, Colchester and would get the guards from there to match. However I am slightly dubious about the company. They say that they have been trading over 10 years but I can't seem to find any review anywhere. Does anyone have any experience of them? Are they quality parts or not worth spending my money on?

This is the bumper I like the look of:

I have got their heavy duty cranked rear trailing arms, good bit of kit, and well priced.

All came quick and would use them again :)

I looked at them but in the end went with AJS Fabrications in Redditch for my front and rear bumpers. They manufacture their own stuff and sell it under the Wildbear name. Went and collected the stuff myself and saved the postage.

It would be great to get local if possible and Redditch isn't far from me. Only problem is I can't look at their range as their website seems to be down and they don't have much info on their social media!

Tempted to pop round, but multimap* keeps pulling off the marker when I dump the big pile of text on the left.

(* I have to use OS overlays so I know what I am looking at)

I have the Extreme 4x4 front bumper. Great bit of kit no fitment issues and powder coating is good quality. They have been around a while and if you recall the top gear Bolivia special, they supplied the parts for Clarksons Range Rover Classic

I know nowt about them, but quick search shows they have been trading since 2009 and some of their named officers are most likely the owners.
This of course does not mean everything, but does mean they are real, and as been trading for 13 years might actually be okay, note the age of the guys as well.

I think I might have a go at installing it myself.
I can't comment as I had mine installed for me but speak to Andy - I'm sure he will give you any help you need. Make sure you get all the bolts and nuts that you will need.
I've got to go over there shortly to pick up some tree sliders.
