Anyone use Polite Hi Viz gear

Just been reading on Facebook that the police are issuing warnings in our area to anyone wearing this range.

Apparently its not just the polite word is the chequered strips.

They are telling people they will be charged with impersonating a police officer if they are caught again

Too right too. Battern bergs aint allowed on vehicles similar to plods either.

Not just horsey people that use it. I've seen it on bikers and even people walking

It's been doing the rounds for a long time.

You might see me walking round sue with the dogs I have a hi vis coat fir work and it warm so I wear it all the time although I would say its not that bright any more, more of a mud and oil colour now.

I would have thought if it said police then that's impersonation but that's like saying you carnt put polite trades man on a huge van as that would be impersonating a police van,

Interesting, sounds like whoever has been going round all these businesses and stopping people must be someone impersonating a police officer

The Police in general know fook all. anything they say should be regarded as absolute ****e, until ya stood in front of a judge.

I'd check to see if the Plod that went in the shop were proper plod or Speshulls?? aka window licker cops..

If there was a problem, The shop would get an official letter from a senior police officer,

Why don't you email West Yorks police, and ask them fro their official position.

as long as the colouring int Blue/white blue siver. It's perfectly legal.

I think you can have blue so long as it's not reflective.

Found a wimins police hat in the gutter in Glasgow one morning it was one of the fake ones wimen use on a night out used to put it on top of the dashboard. It was amasing the way people used to pull over on the motorway.lol

If it's not meant to warn with the idea of impersonating a police officer then why the blue 7 white checks and why have the word polite?

don't know if they are still around, but there used to be a security company in Manc called pol-ice, cept their - was very small !!

i have the vest that they do and use it on my horse and when out on my bike, you must just have some bell end round your way
