Anyone tried the Qaiffe 6-Speed Sequential Gearbox?

The QBE86G is a high strength six-speed sequential unit designed for rally raid Land / Range Rover applications where rapid gearshifts and reliability are paramount. QBE86G retains the R380 transmission's mounting points and a Land / Range Rover V8 bellhousing is available from stock.
Technical highlights include 90mm shaft centres proven to 750bhp, wide helical gears and an uprated reverse to suit off-road use. A modular gear cluster and a drum type sequential gearchange system combines with an open face dog design on both gear and drive disc, producing a positive, ultra-fast gearshift.

Options include a left hand or right hand gear lever offset and two ratio set choices. The QBE86G retains the original Land / Range Rover LT230 transfer box (supplied separately). Compatible with the factory Land . Range Rover centre differential locking mechanism, a Quaife ATB centre differential is also available.

Lovely bit of kit, but I suppose only really in the realms of anyone capable of funding a race team.

like the idea of a throttle body on a doozil........

"it is only there if it diesels on basically when the diesel engine is running on it own oil can happen when its been on its roof or other source of fuel not from the injection pump carbon build up etc, basically revs till its blows, youtube it loads of videos

what this is being used for is, if the engine does diesel on you can pull the throttle body shut and stop any air getting into the engine so it dies saving it from self destruction."

The chaps at TD5inside helped fit one to a bastard tuned TD5, looked pretty decent. Was on a race truck though

Andy Sargent has got one fitted to his highly tuned td5 110 racer by td5 inside. Friend races against him in France quite often but in a twin bike engined 4wd custom space frame buggy with a new shape mini outer shell.

Yup! Thats the one I was on about! They did have a crash in the mast race, practically wrecked the drivers side wing and radius arm!
