Got spots of peeling lacquer on my Borrego Yellow F1.
Has anyone come up with a remedy? I'm thinking wet flat with soap and take edges off, degrease then mask and re-lacquer??

Seems LR didn't quite master the art of keeping lacquer on the paint, particularly the orange, yellow and alloys !

In that respect they were DESTINED to unite with Jaguar... What you've descibed wokrs for spots, for bigger areas karcher "dirt buster" lance knocks the flaky stuff off, then wet dry it and lacquer the panel.

Wet flat the lacquer around the edge of the flaking area, so to blend in the lacquer to the base coat. Once blended, clean the area with panel wipe.
Then gently apply several fine coats of new lacquer to the whole area, over spraying a small area of the original lacquer. Once hardened, flat the area with 1200 then 2400, finally finishing with a light cutting polish.
It's not difficult to achieve an acceptable finish on flat paint, but metallic paint is more difficult to remedy.

You should find some videos on YT showing the way to do it.
