anyone know what these fault codes mean?

Hi Guys na Gals,

Anyone have a clue what these fault codes might mean? p0172, p1319, p1172. My 4.0 rangie is running like a bag of spanners and i cant figure it out, i think p0172 may mean fuel trim rich on bank 1 but i have no idea what that means or what bank 1 is, i'm starting to feel like a retard now as i can't get her running right!!!!

If you speak about OBDII codes then:

P0172
Oxygen Sensor System Too Rich Fault Bank A
P1172
Oxygen Sensor System Too Rich Fault Banks A & B
Are u sure about P1319.......These are just until 1318

hi mate the codes are as follows;
p0172..system to rich bank1...intake blocked,air system MAF/VAF sensor,fuel presure/pump injector(s) ho2s
p1172..system to rich bank 1&2...intake/fuel system,injectors h02s MAF/VAF sensor ECT sensor
p1319..misfire detected with low fuel level..low fuel level
hope these help i work for the rac and these are direct from our auto data i would be checking manafold air leaks or temp sensors sound like its trying to get to much fuel or a masive air leak...

Thanks for that mate very helpfull, i'm gonna order 2x o2 sensors and see where that get me.. fingers crossed.

Success ish!!! Changed the o2 sensor on bank1 and she's running so muchbetter, still slightly hesitant so I may change the other. Thanks for all your help folks
