I have the chance to buy a K plate 200tdi disco in green. It has steel wheels and road tyres, approx 9 months MOT and a couple of months tax, 91k on the clock and has had one owner for the last 7 or 8 years. The bodywork is pretty straight and appears rust free but so far I have only driven past it at night so haven't had the opportunity to look at it properly. I'm thinking of getting it for the ballast to use over winter but don't really know what they're going for at the momenet due to the constant shift in prices. Has anyone just bought or looked at anything that is similar so I can get a rough idea. A years or so back I would've said about £500 but from what I can gather now they are going for much more.
 
I bought a K reg manual 135k,er rotten to fook, mot dissaster for P&P £ 500.

It does seem mad that you might be looking at a grand for that motor !.

Its bloody bonkers the way Landrovers are up and down now just cause of one " proper " winter.

Only a couple of years ago Disco,s were worth nowt, ( fuel and proposed road tax increases ).

The fickle masses !.

2 years running the snow around my neck of the woods has drifted up to 6ft deep. With the prospect of another heavy snowfall this year I'm figuring that it may be worthwhile as I usually use my defender for work when it snows and that means the missus is unable to get out and about.
 
Buy now - before the first flakes of snow...prices will rocket again once the fluffy white stuff is around. Those of us selling need only hang on another month or so...:D

To someone it was an old motor that was fooked !.

To you it was £ 60 and a few hours on the spanners !.
