Anyone know HT lead position on coil pack on 4.6 thor

I want to check that the HT leads are in the correct position on the coil packs of my 4.6 thor as the car has never really run correct after having the heads rebuilt. I just want to make sure the mechanic put them back in the correct position.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ignition Leads
Misfiring, with the accompanying rough running, power loss and even stalling, is much less common in the 4.0/4.6 than in the Classic. When it does occur, the prime suspects would be the ignition leads as on any vehicle. Peter Vorwerk of Switzerland had these symptoms on his 1996 4.6SE. After inspecting all the air-intake system and the throttle-position sensor he checked also the camshaft-sensor but didn't find anything strange. Noticing a "clickering" sound, he switched off the light in his garage and could see sparks flying around ignition-lead #2. The solution was a simple replacement with a new lead set. Update 2006: After another two years and 100,000 km, the same symptoms recurred and were cured by another change in leads.
Note: For some reason, 1999-2002 models with the Bosch ignition system are particularly prone to ignition lead failures.

I changed the ignition leads about a year ago with magnecore 10mm leads. It would be very annoying if they are faulty because they cost me £110. I do have another set to fit, but I wanted to check the position on the coil pack just to make sure. After some research I found out that while 1 cyclinder is in ignition stroke another cyclinder spark plug fires at the same time, they call it something like spark plug wash.
The car does run, but not as good as it should.
 
I have the same problem I have a 2000 4.6 and at about 1.8K revs it jerks and seems to miss fire could this be the leads

There is two simple tricks of the trade. But they can hurt. First try pulling each plug of with the engine running one by one. See if there is any change in the engine note. The other I have been told before to use a water depenser that spays a mist ( like the missis might use the water the plants). Spray this onto the plugs when the light is not to bright. You may see the leads shorting.
Or just change the leads and see if it makes any difference

I love this thread even if it is an old one :) Have just been told by our local Landy specialist that no spark on the back right cylinder of a 2001 (THOR) 4.6 V8 is most likely the ignition pack, as there are hardly ever HT lead problems on a P38.

Thanks guys. The ignition pack looks a total nightmare to get out! :)

You won't be smiling whilst changing the leads - they are a bastard to get to - the coil packs are pushed right up against the bulkhead, you need hands the size of Jimmy Savile's girlfriend to get to them.
