anyone help with becm sync chesterfield area??

please can anyone help with a sync mate or similar??
the dreaded problem, turning over and no start.
just parked up and came to start a few hours later and it
was just turning over

any help would be great, or a pointer towards a helper

Hi, are you petrol or diesel? p38? age? any more info? symptoms etc. im nottingham with faultmate system.

its a 4.6hse v8 1995
pulled up the other night and turned off
went to it a couple of hours later and it was just turning over and not firing.
fuel is at the rail when bleed nipple pressed.
just turns over??? engine check stays on all time aswell.

was running mint until i switched off and later tried to start it.

I think if the "check engine" light is on when key in position 2 then there is no sync problem between the engine ecu and the becm, has it ever done this before today?

still not running?? tried all connections and it still just turning over and not firing.
coule do with trying re sync before i go any deeper into it....

it was runnin perfect, just turned it off then its never started since, its never missed a beat or even hesitated to start any more??

same problem as i had last week, get the codes for the alarm reset and you will be fine. had the modified rf fitted this week to save the worry!

Thats really good of you mate. I went to it today and it started fine. Tried it a few times it was ok. went home and got a lift back to it and again no start. plugged it in and cleared some codes and now it is just sayin crank sensor. managed to get it started and get it home. gonna check wires and buy a new sensor. fingers crossed.....

will let you all know how i go on.

mine did exactly the same? was the position crank sensor and i have the sync mate gems engine but all great now

Hi, just had exact same problem with my p38 diesel.
Took it to doug dransfield landrover in stocksbridge, Sheffield and it took him an hour an he sorted it. He resynced the becm. £75.
Little bit dearer than I would have liked but it's sorted.
