Hi all,

I am trying to decide on the tyres for the newly revamped GreenHornet and have come across the new Khumo's

Has anyone had any experience of these? Any help would be great.

Cheers

I have KL71's on my current Discovery, had them on my last one too.

To be honest I wouldnt have any others, worth theyre weight in gold IMO. They grip well, clean quick and are fairly reasonable on the road....I do tend to throw my Disco around and they behave brilliantly. They wear well aswell!

Thanks for your help. Camskill are working out more expensive than my previous quote. Have had a friend who have used them for another size and they have been a good company so a worthy suggestion.

Cheers

Ian where did you get that price from mate ? as I cant find them anywhere let alone at that money, oh btw I have kumhos on mine and they worked very well, only got stuck once ( no fun lol) whereas my brother( pretty sure he has bfg's) almost got stuck a few times(= more fun lol)
Will come round in a bit to grab that steel if it's still alright?

Ok mate, from the top.

It's gonna be very different on 33s, but if you choose a sensible set of muds it will still road ok.

We have spoke about tyre options before, but yes you definitely need muds if you're predominantly off road, tbh you will want extreme tyres because muds are poor at a pnp site but then you're glad of them again on a long greenlaning weekend with plenty of road section.

Muds are a good compromise, buy what you can find at a good price :)

wotcha
changed to Kuhmo k7133x12.5x15 tyres and 10j modular wheels from 36x10.5x16s simex extreme trekker2s its nice to have a conversation again while driving on the black stuff.
I think these tyres put down a good footprint and behave well on wet roads.
they were purchased from Camskill.co.uk they were prompt and the delivery very good.
