if you have a smartphone or ppc you can get a bent download of tomtom for free!!!

I would. 17 years of PC use and never paid for a piece of software yet, Unless it was included in the price of the PC when I brought it.

Nice 1 for the maps redhand. I got a problem though. I actually purchased Memory Map (dont laugh) and when i try and load the 50k maps it says that my version of memory map is too new for the maps and that you have to use this years maps with that version. Do you know of anyway around this? The 25k maps i downloaded work fine.

been looking around lately - almost bought the tom tom one (1gb) last week - is the 500 a better bet
also argos are doing the tom tom 510 for £149
is the 500 bluetooth capable?
I know F all about sat-nav - managed for 20 years with maps - only really want one for greenlaning/fords etc

I have a TomTom GO 500 and I think it's amazing.
I have TomTom HOME, and a CD with the maps and stuff.
I need a CRETIN'S step by step guide to updating the maps without money.
Hmmm....... I wonder if HybridGirl knows how to do it.
I bought another TomTom GO 500 last week for £128 complete.
Incredible bit of kit. I would hate to do without it now.

buy a 2nd vehicle to put it in.
I've got tomtom6 with UK & western EU on it if yer want a copy also got a cd full of speed camera poi's and extra voices an ****.
