no but its like 8 times better than a scratchy cd player.Transferred a load of cd's to tape just before I got my licence back a few years ago,but with it laid up for a year and a bit the tape player expired.

Send me a PM on Monday to remind me, i`ll see what i`ve got in work. had a shed load i`d removed from cars so i`ll see whats working and what i`ve got

:welcome2:Hi,i have an original land rover R770 radio cassette if your still looking for one.Only replaced in my car cos mode button fell orf.....otherwise in good order £5 plus postage and its yours :)

You've probably already sourced one, but I removed the Freelander head unit when it was new, Its a Rover part number AMR 5696

Has removable facia (buttons) also have the facia case and radio security code

Still very much interested,I have to try and work out how to transfer payment. It's been broken for a few years now.
If any one can come up with a good/safe way to pay for said radio,I will take it.
Thanx for the offers SASBob,WHippo,Nor'rn Irelander and Buster .
I'm not very proficient with my crappy soldering iron so would like one that just plugs in.
I do not have a credit card,so hopefully someone can come up with a good payment transfer method.

It's a new head unit, as in unused, I put a MD head unit in as soon as I got the FL, literally the next day. It has sat in a box for the last few years...............in no hurry to sell it, can hold it for you if you dont get one locally.

the radio codes in the handbook.

It has standard ISO plug ports, should be plug an play.

Even has the original chassis, I'll even give you the quick release tool for removing the head unit!

Send Crewey (Freebiker) up to collect it, cross border relations and all that :D

Just checked the entertainment manual, this is the R660, not the R770 which you are after, the R770 has a multi-disc port and skip track functions on the head unit buttons
