Has anyone else had the plastic 'T' joining junction (connects water pipes
to expansion bottle) break? This is the second time mine has broken,
emptying the water completely.

Last time, a few months ago, it cost me over £160 (I guess the value of the
small plastic T piece, at 10p?) Landrover claiming it has to come compete
with the rubber hose to the expansion bottle (not the bottle, just rubber
hose) ........seems a lot of money.

The car is a Freelander, V6 'X' 2000 reg.

Try B&Q for a copper t-piece as commonly use in central heating
systems. the little micro-bore one is probably the right sort of
size.....

Thanks all for the advice.....

No, it wasn't due to frost, I had just reached my destination on each
occasion before the thing broke, but, to pay £160 inc labour for a 10p piece
of plastic, seemed too much..

yes we had this on a 1999 V6 ES, twice. Wife did not like the 'uncomfortable
seats' plus it's love of fuel, made my RR look good.
Swapped it for a T5 V70 Volvo:] Half the fuel and twice the fun!
