hi guys, thanks for all the replies, it seems that anything goes apart from changing the shape of the beast, i also have a big boom box already fitted, got the tint ready to be fitted, no large exhaust but am considering a stainless steel one, got K&N fitted, and got chequer plate on it already, go 4 spots up top, two down front, and 4 on rear, changed the headlights, fitted cig lighter, scraping it all down at the moment ready to change the paint colour (not sure what colour yet but it wont be pink or camo)
also considering parabolic or coil springs and better shocks but would need to look into that more also have orders that comfy seats are to be put in - some research shows that almost any type of seat will with some adapting fit inside.
also not sure what to do about the dash either replace origional (or newly souced) or make one from either mdf or chequer plate......
am i in the wrong formums lol .......... will post some pics tomorrow to see if i am to be stonned at dawn....

ho hum.
didnt realise it was going to be quite this non standard.
:rolleyes:
i'm not a purist by an means, but i'll take the **** in person if you fit an mdf dashboard.
and be ready for the boom box **** taking......

no its not going to be so non standard, i was looking and not knowing what i was looking for and all i could find really were highering kits etc, i just wanted some gas shocks to smoothen the ride a bit, going to try and fix up the leaf springs (thrown a load of oil, etc over them today and will have a look tomorrow...
i just dont know what i am looking for (dont just want the normal standard ones)

experience of lubing built up springs is that as the lube penetrates and starts to work, all the rust goes free range and acts as a grinding paste.

my first set i stripped the leaves down, cleaned all the rust off, oiled, rebuilt and they were soft as owt. comparable with parabolics but not as much travel, ace off road but loads of bodyroll on road.

yuck mdf is nasty stuff.

i want mine to be pretty standard, but I reckon as long as its not something that is only there to look cool and get kudos from nissan drivers then you should be allright

functional = good.
