It's amazing thinking about Range Rovers in general.
BL set the "that'll do" benchmark in the first iteration RRC and kept that right through to the L405, amazing once you dig deep you realise how much of a piece of great shyte they really are.
But they have character.
That thing on the first page isn't too far off the stock model..
Whereas the Stock model will never go offroad, Obvs with its huge wheels and eggspensive interior etc can't chance carrying horse **** onto the plush leather and carpet!!
The One OP posted is what the modern RR really is under the skin so to speak, which is why i believe it angers the Purists so much..
whereas the Stock one can go offroad, but never will coz its an expensive limo, and you all know this.
The above can't for obvious reasons as its an expensive Limo with a weird bodykit, even though you know the stock one won't go offroad the thought of a RR that can't BOILS THE BLOOD!!
That angers the "proper" RR owner.
Think of the RR kind of like a Woman..
The RRC was the Woman who would be rough as **** when she needed to be, but could still be civilised to a certain degree. "wellies a cigarette the whole works" even an aroma of perfume and cow shyte
The P38 was that Woman who Bragged about being handy and "rough" like getting her wellies dirty!, but in reality would much rather stay dry and comfortable, much less tolerant than her rugged sister, very temperamental. Likes Tweed and designer boots and wellies, stil very much country set.
The L322 was the 3rd sister, far too busy doing expensive stuff, the Academically inclined one with all her gadgets and fancy clothes, but she did ride off the reputation of her older sister, so everyone believed her when she said "I like to work everywhere even offroad" even though you knew she was lying.. " the Beverly hills and London type"
The L405 is the spoiled little shít that rides the aforementioned reputation into the stratosphere, but wears 12" heels and silk dresses, the BITCH!!
The Dubai stormer and Hollywood dream SUV..
