Hi.

Is there a thread on a clutch master cylinder replacement for a td4?
Sure I've seen one in the past.

If I'm wrong, any advice on how to do it, I hear releasing it from the pedal and union to the slave is a pain. Which way do I turn it to release from the bulkhead.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks.

Did this a few days back. Theres a White plastic inner ring on the master cylinder side of the connector that you need to push in towards the connector in order to make it pop out. Hold your left hand firmly over the connector and use a good size flat screwdriver to push the plastic ring in. Push it all the Way around until u barely see it. The pipe should be able to pop out easily. Now crawl under the dash and break loose the master from the clutch pedal. On mine i just put a screwdriver in between the pedal and the pin and it snapped apart quite easily. Now go back outside and twist the cylinder around 45 degrees to the right and it should come loose and youll be able to pull it out. Only trouble i had was refitting the new one because cables wouldnt let me twist it enough to pop in. Worked like a charm tho, felt like a new car
