Looking for a Land Rover Defender 90 hard top below 100 k miles in blue or green good and honest
to use daily to enjoy Cornwall.?

Welcome.:)

I have a daily in blue, Fail on mileage and location ;) Oh and its not for sale;) ya cant have it.

What sort of budget are you looking at? because that can make a huge difference as to what you actually end up with, and the work that would "really" need doing to it. Yep some peeps aren't so honest in the adds.

Tops £17k don’t want any fancy modifications just a reliable old fashioned one.

I am looking to move on my 2004 Defender 90 which I have listed online for £17,750 currently but I am sure we could come to an agreement ;)

It regrettably is not a hard top and has done 135,000 miles... but it is a top spec XS County Station Wagon with all factory fitted half leather, heated seats air con etc.

Let me know if you want any more details!

Buy on condition and not mileage. It could have had a hard sub-100k miles as opposed to one that has had an easy and well maintained life over your desired mileage. As Lynall said, prices are coming down so be patient and look at loads.

Thanks for all your advice. Any do’s and don’t’s
about buying one will be greatly appreciated.

There's loads for sale around the London area. Prices are coming down but they'll always sell if in good condition.

The one offered above looks nice, l may be interested! Can you post some more photos?

I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a car to use in Cornwall.
Cornwall is hard on cars, there is salt spray blowing miles inland, tiny lanes with lots of scratchy vegetation, and where people will squeeze past you removing a mirror on the way, and lots of car break-ins in out of the way car parks.
If it was me, I would just get an old nail, or a small van, and drive it until it drops and get another.
Do as the locals do, and you won't go far wrong.

Sorry Lightning! All sold now, ended up taking a bit of a hit on it to get it shifted quickly as I had to rather depressingly get the mortgage sorted by the end of the week so needed the cash in my account. I will be selling some bits form it (mainly security stuff ardcase, clutch pedal pin, ECU isolator, starter motor isolater) if anyone is interested before I stick it on Ebay.

£18,000 isn't too bad for one with that mileage.
l got £18,500 for my pristine 2005 110 CSW last year (when prices were higher)
lt was on 155,000.

You see them advertised for more but they either don't sell, or they are low mileage.

£20,000 is a bit of a watershed price wise, it's harder to sell one when the price gets higher than that.

And don't forget a private sale will be around £2,000 lower than a dealer sale, particularly relevant on old Defenders because the warranty is worth the extra !!
