Far enough.
My nearest supply of it is 120 mile roundtrip if they have it.
I've gone with 300tdi for that reason

Yes I’ve owned a 1997 V8, so thats 27+ years now, and its not a daily driver never has been, but took it to Germany and Spain a couple of times plus up to Yorkshire a and down to Devon and Cornwall a few times in the past.
I needed a replacement for my 1987 V8 Range Rover that was used 24/7 by the family for ten years and was slowly rusting away, and by then 100,000 miles + on the clock, it also went to Germany once.

The old 90 was fantastic and the 3 door range before that also great .
I'm very pleased with the disco.
It's XS 3 door and has Aircon etc etc very nice.

Yeah, not a daily, but usually used every friday. 1997 V8 auto, Jap spec, in NZ.
Did a bit of rescuing at the Mountain Bike park today. Local Boys High School had a teacher only day, so half the school was over there... massive off for one of them, so the Disco was ferrying kids back to my place to await parents to collect them, while the poor fulla who had the off was taken to hospital.

Good skills, jap Imports are usually in good condition.
I rescued a disco delivery vehicle yesterday,completed it's deliverys and placed the owner back at home.
Starter motor is being replaced later today.

Would make a cheaply repairable spare.

I'll do it Monday, clean ,refit and put it on the shelf for a rainy day.Have you taken the old one apart yet to see if it was only the contacts?

It was quick to just put a new one in .
I have a few similar parts rebuilt on the shelf that
Have been recycled.

Sadly I have a D1 V8 with proppa 4 tank lpg and an Anniversary 300 Tdi.
Sadly, cos none of them are on the road, wouldn't take much to reverse that althought the Anni does need welding, sills etc.
