i was just thinking about this, and ways to stop pikey ****s nicking my motor, and i thought, why not just disconnect the battery on a defender - its easy to get to but also hidden if you dont know where to look

granted it aint gonna fool the professional car nicker, but it may just stop yer average pikey cünt from nabbing it

anyone else got any ideas? apart from camp outside it with a rifle and shoot the ****ers when they try it

better to take it out and put it in house , most of the fookers aint bright enough to bring their own battery ;)

yea but what if you are out somewhere. i was thinknig about this coz previously i havent ever really left the landy unattended for any length of time anywhere other than driveways etc. but im going to more and more away football games which involves parking it on the street, in areas i dont know, for a fair few hours. cant just take me battery in with me on the terraces:D

could fit this:

Discarnect Immobiliser | Alarms & Immobilisers | Demon Tweeks Motorsport, Motorcycle, Car Modifying, Parts and Accessories,Sparco, Arai

cheaper here though:

[ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Richbrook-DIS-CAR-NECT-Battery-Cut-Off-Switch/dp/B0019ULCPW"]Richbrook 'DIS-CAR-NECT' Battery Cut-Off Switch: Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors[/ame]

then the little fuse keeps all the little stuff like clocks, radios and alarms powered, but if you try to start without replacing the knob, the current is too high and blows the fuse.

if you fit it right, and cut the negative lead to length, then even if you unbolt the unit, the negative isn't long enough to reach the battery without the unit.
