want to remove the anti roll bars front and rear, is it best to sit axle stands under chassis and let axles drop down ( to let pressure off them) or sit it on the axles.

I just pulled mine off stationary. they are springy left to right, didnt notice any pressure up and down.

Use a nylon ratchet strap to squeeze them together left and right.

Before ratchet straps I used to tie some heavy rope in a loop and wind it in with a hammer to squeeze things together. Only draw back was if you let go the hammer it would spin like a propellor and bash the fook out of whatever was in the way.
